About Me
I am a Chicago-based writer, editor, and captioner excited to work with you on your next project! I am a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, where I spent my time developing my writing and editing skills. While at Loyola, I began my first experience with copywriting, editing, and social media management with Latchkey Kid Improv Team, where I worked with a team to create social media posts and graphics and planned events to engage students both on and off-campus. Since then, I have worked with a variety of theater companies and comedy groups to create copies for upcoming performances, events, casting announcements, and artist spotlights. I especially love any chance I get to highlight the people working on each product in order to show clients, customers, and audience members the community and care it takes to create each product and performance.
I am the current Media Director for BYOT Productions, Chicago's longest-running 24-Hour Theatre Company. In the months that I've held this position, I've raised the accounts our companies have reached on social media by over 24%, have advertised and promoted multiple productions, and enacted a campaign that
resulted in our current nominations for the Best Established Theatre Company and Best Storefront Theatre Company (The Chicago Reader, "Best of Chicago" Awards).
In addition to my copywriting, I am a Senior Transcriber and Editor with Echo Labs, where I work with academic content from universities across the country. Here, I edit and proofread captions and transcriptions created by members of our Transcription Team, guaranteeing all captions perfectly align with what is spoken in the videos. While working with Echo Labs, I developed a passion for accessibility, learning the details of creating transcriptions and closed captions for d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals, especially in academia. Because of this work, I freelance as a captioner, ensuring that all videos follow guidelines as outlined by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
